Craig Levin is a Professor of Radiology at Stanford University, with courtesy appointments in Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Bioengineering. He is a founding member of the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford and directs the NIH-NCI funded T32 Stanford Molecular Imaging Scholars postdoctoral training program. His research focuses on advancing molecular imaging technologies for cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders, combining instrumentation development with clinical and pre-clinical applications.
Education: Ph.D. (Physics, Yale University, 1993), M.S./M.Phil. (Physics, Yale, 1987), B.S. (Physics and Mathematics, UCLA, 1985).
Research interests include molecular imaging instrumentation, software algorithms, and translational research partnerships with industry. He has authored nearly 200 peer-reviewed publications and holds 40 patents. His laboratory employs 20 researchers and emphasizes bridging academic innovation with clinical impact.
Awards include election to the AIMBE College of Fellows and the Academy of Radiology Research’s Distinguished Investigator Award. He has secured significant NIH funding and grants from government, industry, and private institutions.
Led a Nobel Symposium in 2007 and directs the Molecular Imaging Instrumentation Laboratory, advancing technologies used globally in patient care.
