Dr. Craig Larkin is Reader in Middle East Politics and Director of the Centre for the Study of Divided Societies at King's College London. He co-convenes the MA in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies and leads research on memory narratives in post-conflict settings such as Mosul and Beirut.
His research examines Islamist political adaptation, interfaith relations in Lebanon, and competing memory narratives in urban reconstruction. Notable publications analyze the Islamic Movement in Israel and heritage restoration in post-ISIS Mosul.
Dr. Larkin directs the FCDO-funded XCEPT research stream on Memory and Conflict, advises policy forums including the Westminster Health Forum, and edits the Hurst/OUP book series 'Urban Conflict, Divided Societies'. Fieldwork spans Lebanon, Israel/Palestine, and Iraq.
