Craig Higgins

Craig Higgins is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Art and Media, University of Brighton, specializing in Fashion, Textiles, and 3D design. He bridges industry experience with academia, focusing on heritage craftsmanship, luxury fashion, and innovative pedagogy. His professional background includes collaborations with renowned designers and international fashion houses, alongside leadership roles in course development and teaching.

Education: Began at the University of Brighton (BA 1996), followed by a PG Certificate in Learning and Teaching for Higher Education (2009). Holds over 14 years of teaching experience across UK institutions including London College of Fashion and Norwich University of the Arts.

Research interests center on materiality, craftsmanship, and the intersection of digital and manual methods in fashion design education.
