Dr. Craig Hanson is an Adjunct Professor in International Development at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His academic work bridges philosophy and economics, focusing on self-defeating choices, ethics, and human behavior, as evidenced by his 2006 publication Thinking About Addiction: Hyperbolic Discounting and Responsible Agency. He also pioneered a graduate program in global development, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches combining entrepreneurship, microenterprise, applied theology, and traditional policy studies.
