Craig Davis is a Professor of English Language & Literature at Smith College, specializing in Old and Middle English, Old Norse, Medieval Celtic languages, and global traditional epics. He has directed the Medieval Studies and Comparative Literature programs.

Recent publications analyze Beowulf's cosmopolitanism, Gothic-Roman interactions, and Welsh-Celtic influences on Arthurian texts. His current projects investigate La Tène civilization's cultural roots and northern ethnography in Beowulf.
