Craig B. Arnold is the Susan Dod Brown Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Vice Dean for Innovation at Princeton University. He leads the Office of Innovation, fostering entrepreneurship and industry partnerships. His academic roles include directorship of the Princeton Materials Institute (2015–2022) and affiliations with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Princeton Environmental Institute, and Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment.
Arnold earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University (2000). His research focuses on laser processing, energy storage, and materials science, yielding 17 patents and over 225 publications. Notable innovations include the TAG lens, commercialized through his co-founded company TAG Optics. His work bridges fundamental physics and applied technologies in energy, imaging, and nanoscience.
