معرفی
Dr. Craig Anderson is a Research Fellow at the Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics at the Australian National University (ANU). His work focuses on galaxy evolution, magnetic fields, and radio astronomy, with a particular emphasis on HI emission studies and cosmic magnetism.
His research explores:
- Magnetic field structures in the Small Magellanic Cloud
- Galactic evolution through radio surveys
- Polarization studies using ASKAP telescope
- Interstellar medium dynamics and superbubbles
- Outflow impacts from supermassive black holes
Craig contributes to major projects like:
- POSSUM (Polarization Sky Survey of the Universe's Magnetism)
- GASKAP-HI (Galactic ASKAP HI pilot survey)
- Mapping the Gas that Drives Galaxy Evolution with Magnetic Dye Tracers (2025-2029)
He has supervised students including Sarah Bradbury and collaborates extensively with institutions such as the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) and CSIRO's ASKAP facility. His publications span topics from magnetic fields in irregular galaxies to pulsar characterization and transient radio phenomena.
