Craig A Field

Craig A. Field is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and serves as Director of the Latino Alcohol and Health Disparities Research Center (LAHDR). His research focuses on culturally adapted health behavior interventions, particularly using motivational interviewing to address alcohol-related consequences in medical, judicial, and collegiate settings.

Research Interests: Dr. Field's work examines health disparities, alcohol use disorders, and the integration of biopsychosocial approaches to assess cumulative stress and cultural factors influencing health outcomes among Hispanic populations. His research spans public health, health psychology, and clinical trial methodologies.

Labs and Teams: As Director of the Latino Alcohol and Health Disparities Research Center (LAHDR), he leads interdisciplinary research initiatives addressing health inequities in Latino communities.
