Courtney Hayes

Courtney Hayes serves as a Research Interventionist for the Pepper Development Project at Wake Forest University. Her work focuses on bridging gaps in engagement with communities of lower socioeconomic status (SES) and underserved populations. A native of Winston-Salem, she holds an MS in Exercise Science and a Master of Public Health (MPH).

Hayes is certified as a Group Fitness Instructor, Zumba Instructor, POUNDFit Instructor, and Health Coach through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Her professional activities emphasize community-based health initiatives, leveraging both academic and practical expertise in public health and physical wellness.

She collaborates with the Pepper Development Project to design and implement interventions that address systemic health inequities, particularly through outreach strategies tailored to marginalized communities.
