Dr. Costas Gabrielatos is a Reader in Corpus Linguistics & English Language at Edge Hill University, leading the Edge Hill Corpus Research Group. He specializes in corpus linguistics methodology, lexicogrammar, and critical discourse studies, with a focus on media representations of social issues like autism, immigration, and religion. His current research project, 'Challenging Ocularcentric Bias,' funded by British Academy/Leverhulme, explores media portrayals of blindness. He teaches modules on research methodology, TESOL, and discourse studies, and has supervised numerous postgraduate students. His work has been implemented in tools like CQPweb and Wmatrix, and his research often features in academic curricula worldwide.
