Costas Antoniou

Costas Antoniou is an Associate Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus), affiliated with the School of Sciences. He holds a Master's in Education Sciences (University of Nicosia, 2018), a Bachelor of Science in Criminological and Forensic Psychology (University of Bolton, 2010), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (University of Central Lancashire, 2017).

His research focuses on Corruption in Law Enforcement Units, Interviewing Suspects, Detecting Deception, Organized Crime, Terrorism, and Prison Education. He has presented at professional seminars such as the FBI Cyprus National Academy Associates seminar on 'Combating Corruption in Law Enforcement Units' (2016).

Administratively, he serves as an Elected Member of UCLan Cyprus Senate since 2018. His teaching portfolio includes modules like Psychology and the Legal System, Forensic Psychology, and Crime: Impact and Consequences. Previously, he worked at Intercollege Larnaca as a Lecturer and Program Coordinator for a Criminology and Psychology program (2010–2015).

He is a member of the Cyprus Society of Criminology and has supervised student research projects, including a 2017 study on perceptions of male victims of domestic abuse in Cyprus.
