Cosmin L. Ilut is a Professor of Economics at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Northwestern University (2009 and 2005, respectively). His research focuses on macroeconomics, international finance, asset pricing, and decision-making under uncertainty, particularly exploring how ambiguity and bounded rationality influence economic outcomes. He has been a Researcher at the National Bureau of Economic Research since 2013.
His work examines topics such as diagnostic expectations, cognitive constraints in decision-making, and the macroeconomic implications of ambiguity.
