معرفی
Professor Cosima Stubenrauch serves as Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart and leads the Physical Chemistry of Interfaces group. Her research focuses on complex fluid systems, with particular emphasis on foams, gelled materials, and templated porous structures.
Research Areas: Primary investigations include: 1) Gelled complex fluids for biomedical applications using orthogonal self-assembly; 2) Stability mechanisms in liquid foams through surfactant engineering and interfacial control; 3) Fabrication of biobased porous materials via microfluidic templating routes for acoustic/thermal insulation and tissue engineering.
Laboratory Infrastructure: The group utilizes specialized instrumentation including high-pressure pendant drop tensiometry, microfluidic droplet generators, freeze fracture systems, SAXS, and rheometers. Recent EU-funded projects include the MultiSMART research training network on multi-component soft materials.
Teaching & Collaboration: Professor Stubenrauch teaches colloidal and interfacial chemistry, supervising doctoral candidates in foam physics and porous material design. Research is conducted in collaboration with the Sottmann group, sharing advanced characterization equipment.
