Cory Curl is a Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies at the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, University of Kentucky. She holds a Ph.D. and MPA from the Martin School and a B.A. in geology and environmental studies from Guilford College.
With extensive experience in education policy leadership roles at state and national levels, Dr. Curl's work focuses on data-driven decision-making in K-12 education systems. She has served in the Tennessee Department of Education, U.S. Department of Education, and as Senior Fellow at Achieve, Inc. and the Prichard Committee.
Her publications address policy implementation, education reform, and competency-based pathways. Recent conference presentations explore innovative approaches to public policy education and creating inclusive learning environments.
She received the 1994 Kentucky Education Service Award for her student advocacy work on the Kentucky Education Reform Act. Current community service includes membership on the Prichard Committee and Teach for America-Appalachia advisory board.
