Corrado Santoro (born 1966) is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics (DMI) of the University of Catania, where he has served since March 2020. He leads ARSLAB (Autonomous Robotic Systems Laboratory), an educational and research laboratory established in 2008 that comprises 2 faculty members and 5 PhD students. His academic journey at the University of Catania began as a Research Assistant in 2001, progressing through Researcher (2008) to his current position as Associate Professor.
His research interests focus on autonomous systems and robotics, including UAV platforms, swarm robotics, intelligent agent systems, and distributed computing. Santoro has developed significant expertise in real-time systems, particularly Real-time Java, and has contributed to P2P and Cloud computing systems with emphasis on resource discovery and sharing protocols.
As an educator, Santoro has taught numerous courses including 'Robotic Systems Programming,' 'Microcontroller Systems Laboratory,' and 'Advanced Programming,' primarily for Computer Science undergraduate and graduate programs. He has coordinated student teams in international robotics competitions including Eurobot (since 2006) and MBZIRC (2016-2020).

Before his academic career, Santoro served as CTO of Colby Video srl (1988-1994), an Italian software/hardware company specializing in teletext systems, and worked as a software consultant for various international companies since 1982.
