Cornelia Wolf

Prof. Dr. Cornelia Wolf is University Professor of Online Communication at the Institute of Communication and Media Science, Leipzig University, where she has taught and researched since 2014. She also serves as Erasmus+ and Internationalization Coordinator for the institute, and is the founder and spokesperson of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Communication established in 2019.

Education:

• Diplom-Journalism, Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (2003–2008)
• Doctorate in Communication Science (mobile journalism), University of Passau (2009–2014)

Research Focus: Her work centers on digital transformation of media, cross-media and mobile strategies used by organizations, multimedia storytelling in corporate media and journalism, strategic communication management for nonprofits and start-ups, and science communication—particularly regarding geothermal energy.

Research Trends: Recent publications and projects explore editorial product innovation ecosystems, geothermal energy coverage in media, entrepreneurship frameworks for journalism, narrative formats in online journalism, and evolving collaboration between journalism and corporate communication.

Laboratories & Teams: Since 2021 she has been building the immerse! reception and production laboratory for immersive media research and teaching.
