Anke Bucher

Anke Bucher is a Professor of Applied Mechanics at the Faculty of Engineering, HTWK Leipzig. Her research focuses on geothermal energy utilization, sustainable energy systems, and mechanical engineering applications in the energy transition. She leads the EASyQuart-Plus research project and collaborates internationally, including partnerships with institutions like the Université d’Artois in France and Avans Hogeschool in the Netherlands.

Her work emphasizes near-surface geothermal energy solutions and innovative engineering mechanics, with teaching responsibilities in courses such as Engineering Mechanics: Statics and Strength of Materials. She is actively involved in academic mobility programs, contributing to the internationalization of engineering education at HTWK Leipzig.
