Corne Roelen

Prof. Corne Roelen is a Professor in Occupational Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Medical Sciences, affiliated with the Public Health Research (PHR) department. He also serves as an Occupational Physician at Arbo Unie, contributing to workplace health and safety initiatives.

His research focuses on sickness absence, work functioning, and mental health in occupational settings. Key areas include analyzing return-to-work trajectories, gender disparities in long-term absence, and the impact of chronic diseases on workplace interactions.
