Corine Pelluchon is Professor of Philosophy at Gustave Eiffel University and statutory member of the Hannah Arendt Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Political Studies. Her research spans moral/political philosophy, medical ethics, environmental ethics, and animal ethics, with expertise in Leo Strauss and Emmanuel Levinas. She develops an 'ethics of virtue' addressing modern societal challenges in works like Éthique de la consideration.
Her research focuses on overcoming anthropocentric paradigms through ecological ethics, animal rights advocacy, and rethinking Enlightenment principles. Publications consistently explore intersections of ethics, politics, and ecology, advocating for non-dualistic relationships between humans, animals, and nature.
