Corey Campion serves as Associate Professor of History and Global Studies and Chair of the Department of History at Hood College, specializing in modern European history with particular focus on Franco-German and trans-Atlantic relations.
His academic credentials include:
- Ph.D. in History from Georgetown University
- M.A. in German and European Studies from Georgetown University
- B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures from Washington State University
Dr. Campion's research examines post-1945 Allied occupation of Germany, analyzing French and American cultural policies and daily life in occupied territories. His teaching spans medieval to modern European history, African history, war and society, world history, and globalization. With extensive lived experience in France and Germany, he maintains active scholarly interest in European language, culture, and politics.
He recently presented on public memory in the Hood Talks webinar series addressing "Monuments and Public Memory".
