Cor van Montfort

Cor van Montfort is a Research Associate in the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the LEARN! research group focusing on educational governance, identity, and diversity. He holds an ORCID identifier (0000-0002-8399-6565) and specializes in governance accountability, partnerships, and networks in complex societal issues.

His research interests include civil society dynamics, organizational network oversight, and the interplay between governance structures and urban environments. Notable projects involve designing supervision mechanisms for educational and social housing networks, emphasizing sustainability and accountability.

He leads or participates in six active/recent projects, including EISON (2022–2026) exploring supervision methods for organizational networks. His work bridges academic research with practical governance challenges, evidenced by 22 publications since 2022, focusing on oversight frameworks and policy implementation.
