Cooper Lee Bombardier

Cooper Lee Bombardier is a writer and visual artist currently affiliated with Dalhousie University's Writing & Publishing program. He holds an MS in Writing/Book Publishing, an MFA in Creative Writing/Nonfiction from Portland State University, and a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art. His work spans memoir, personal essay, and hybrid forms of writing that challenge traditional genre boundaries.

Bombardier's research and creative practice focus on queer/trans narratives, somatic/embodied memoir, and constraint-based writing. His anti-oppressive pedagogy emphasizes liberatory approaches to creative writing education. His work often explores intersections of gender identity, class, and resilience through experimental forms.

Recent publications include essays and anthologies that center LGBTQ+ themes, with a particular focus on trans masculinity and community creation. His writing has appeared in top literary venues like The Kenyon Review, Narratively, and The Rumpus, as well as award-winning anthologies such as the Lambda Literary Award-winning The Remedy and the ALA Stonewall Book Award-winning Meanwhile, Elsewhere.
