Constantin Blome is the Academic Dean at Lancaster University Leipzig (since 2022) and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Operations & Production Management. He holds a habilitation from EBS Business School and is a globally recognized expert in supply chain management, procurement, and operations with a focus on sustainability, risk, and innovation. His research has earned him Clarivate's Highly Cited Researcher awards (2020–2021) and numerous accolades, including the Harold E. Fearon Best Paper Award and the Bernard J. LaLonde Best Paper Award.
- Previous Roles: Associate Dean of Research at the University of Sussex Business School, GlaxoSmithKline Chaired Professor at UCLouvain, and part-time Kronos Group Endowed Chair at UCLouvain/CORE.
- Education: Habilitation from EBS Business School, certifications from the Institute of Supply Management (C.P.M., CPSM).
His research explores empirical issues in procurement, risk management, and sustainable sourcing. He has supervised over 15 PhD students and raised over €5 million in research funding, including grants on vaccine supply chain resilience, blockchain for sustainability, and Brexit-related supply chain risks.
Blome is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences like IPSERA and ICOSCM and collaborates internationally with institutions across North America, Asia, and Europe. He co-owns companies n-side (Belgium) and Procurence (Poland), further integrating academic and practical insights.
