Constantia Anastasiadou

Constantia Anastasiadou is a Professor in Tourism at Edinburgh Napier University's Business School and serves as the Research Lead for Tourism in the Tourism and Languages Group. She supports academic research across the Business School and has previously held leadership roles as PhD Programme Leader and Postgraduate Programme Leader for Tourism, Hospitality and Events.

• Education: BA Hons in Economics (University of Macedonia, Greece), MSc and PhD in Tourism (University of Strathclyde, UK)

Research Interests: Constantia specializes in EU tourism policy, tourism governance, and technological mediation in tourism. Her work explores cultural/heritage tourism practices, public value frameworks, and circular economy applications in island tourism. Key projects include analyzing 3D printing's impact on souvenir authenticity and developing public value models for Edinburgh's short-term let policy.

Recent Publications address hospitable destinations, post-pandemic circular economy adoption in hospitality, and commemorative event narratives. Her work spans both theoretical and applied research, integrating design innovation with tourism management.

Scientific Recognition: She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, Higher Education Academy, and Royal Geographical Society. She has served as a grant reviewer for the Economic Social Research Council, Innovation Fund Denmark, and the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
