Constantia Alexandrou is an Adjunct Professor at The Cyprus Institute (CyI) and a Professor in the Physics Department at the University of Cyprus. She leads the Lattice Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) Computational Lab at the University of Cyprus and has held significant administrative roles at CyI, including Chair of the Interim Governing Board (IGB) of the Computation-based Science & Technology Research Center (CaSToRC). In 2010, she was honored with the title of 'Institute Professor' by CyI's Board of Directors.
- Education: BA in Physics (Oxford University, 1980), PhD in Theoretical Nuclear Physics (MIT, 1985)
- Research Focus: Theoretical strong interaction physics, lattice QCD, stochastic techniques for fermion systems, quark models, and computational methods in quantum field theories.
Her work bridges theoretical and computational physics, contributing to advancements in particle physics and high-performance computing. She has coordinated major research programs, delivered invited talks globally, and actively participates in international organizations like IUPAP and PRACE.
While no specific grants or advising details are listed, her leadership in CaSToRC and the Lattice QCD Lab highlights her role in fostering computational science collaborations. Her publications are tracked via the SPIRES database (though the link is currently unavailable).
