Conor O'Callaghan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English and Creative Writing at Lancaster University, within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He has taught at Villanova University, Wake Forest University, and Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. His research focuses on narrative structures, the intersection of poetry and prose, and temporal dynamics in literature. O'Callaghan has published extensively across genres including poetry, memoir, and Gothic fiction.
His creative works explore themes of memory, identity, and existential inquiry. Notable publications include the poetry collections Live Streaming (2017) and The Sun King (2013), the novel We Are Not in the World (2021), and the football memoir Red Mist (2004). His writing often blends experimental forms with traditional narrative frameworks, interrogating boundaries between genres.
