Connor Reid

Connor Reid is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Carleton University, affiliated with the Cooke Lab. His research focuses on fish physiology, stress responses, and conservation biology, particularly in the context of aquatic animal welfare and fisheries management.

His work examines the impacts of sampling techniques (e.g., electroanaesthesia, chemical anaesthesia) on fish stress and behavior, with applications to endangered species management and recreational fishing practices. Recent publications include studies on white sturgeon, lake sturgeon, and smallmouth bass, as well as risk assessments for Atlantic salmon in eastern Canada.
