Dr. Connie Oxford is a Professor of Gender & Women’s Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh, affiliated with the School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and a Women’s Studies Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh (2006), alongside two M.A. degrees in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Memphis, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia.

She critiques how citizenship narratives are shaped by systemic inequalities.
Teaching Areas: Courses include Gender and Human Rights, LGBTQ Studies, Feminist Theory, and Popular Culture Analysis.
