Connie Cai Ru Gan

Dr. Connie Cai Ru Gan is a Lecturer in Planetary Health at Griffith University's School of Medicine and Dentistry. She holds affiliations with the Griffith Asia Institute and the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Her research focuses on climate-resilient healthcare, disaster risk management, and gender equity in health systems. She has collaborated with global organizations like the WHO and Health Care Without Harm to advance climate adaptation strategies in healthcare facilities.

Education: PhD in Public Health (Griffith University, 2022), Master of Public Health (National Taiwan University, 2014). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and holds certifications in Energy Literacy and Climate Action.

Research Interests: Climate change and health, hospital disaster preparedness, gender and planetary health, sustainable healthcare systems. Her work emphasizes integrating gender perspectives and community engagement into policy frameworks.
