Connel Fullenkamp is a Professor of Economics at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, serving as Director of Undergraduate Studies since 2019. His research focuses on financial market regulation, climate economics, biodiversity conservation, and the macroeconomic impacts of remittance flows. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University (1992), alongside an M.A. (1989) and B.A. (1987) from Harvard and Michigan State University respectively.
His work bridges environmental and financial systems, proposing nature-based solutions to climate change through valuing wildlife carbon services. Notable projects include frameworks linking elephant and whale conservation to carbon mitigation, and analyzing remittance effects in fragile states.
