Colm O’Cinneide is a Professor of Constitutional and Human Rights Law at University College London (UCL), where he has been affiliated since 2001. A graduate of University College Cork, the University of Edinburgh, and King’s Inns in Dublin, he was called to the Irish Bar and previously served as a legal adviser in the UK House of Lords.

His research expertise spans comparative constitutional law, human rights law, and anti-discrimination law, with extensive publications in these fields. He has acted as a specialist legal adviser to the UK Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights and Women & Equalities Committee, as well as international organizations like the UN, ILO, and European Commission.
