Colleen Silva

Colleen Silva, MD is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). As Medical Director of Breast Cancer Services, she specializes in breast oncology and surgical interventions. Her research focuses on breast cancer diagnosis, survivorship care, and vascular surgical innovations. Silva has contributed to clinical guidelines such as the ACR Appropriateness Criteria® for breast cancer imaging and pioneered virtual support systems for cancer survivors during the pandemic.
