Colleen Jensen Cook

Colleen Jensen Cook serves as Assistant Professor of Social Work and Director of Practicum Education for Social Work at Point Loma Nazarene University since 2008, with prior professorship at Azusa Pacific University (2014-2016).

Professor Cook's research centers on trauma-informed care practices in clinical settings, extending from her professional expertise in macro social work and policy advocacy. Her teaching portfolio spans Sociology of Aging, Child Welfare, and Social Welfare Policy, reflecting dual specialization in clinical interventions and systemic policy reform for vulnerable populations like children and families in welfare systems.
