Colleen E. Gargan is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of the Gebbie Speech-Language Clinic at Syracuse University's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the College of Arts & Sciences. Her expertise spans autism spectrum disorder, speech-language pathology, and clinical education innovations. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, oversees clinical practicums, and coordinates off-campus placements.
Education: Ph.D. (2020), M.A. (2014), and B.S. (2012) in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Research focuses on telepractice efficacy, prosody in autism, and simulation-based clinical training. Recent work includes studies on lexical stress in adolescents with autism and bridging classroom/medical externship gaps via simulations.
