Colleen Bell is an Associate Professor and Graduate Supervisor in Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Arts and Science. Her research focuses on decolonial and feminist theorizations of war, security, and interventionism, with a particular emphasis on counterterrorism, colonialism, and gendered violence. She authored The Freedom of Security: Governing Canada in the Age of Counterterrorism and co-edited War, Police and Assemblages of Intervention. Currently, she serves as Editor of Critical Studies on Security and previously held the position of Past President of the International Studies Association-Canada Section.
