Overview
Colin Simpfendorfer is an Adjunct Professor of Marine Biology at James Cook University (JCU) in the College of Science and Engineering. With over 25 years of expertise, he focuses on shark biology, ecology, fisheries, and conservation. He served as Co-Chair of the IUCN’s Shark Specialist Group (2012–2020), influencing global conservation policies. His research emphasizes improving shark population management and understanding their ecological roles.
Education
