Colin Evans

Dr. Colin Evans is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina, affiliated with the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy (School of Medicine) and the Biomedical Engineering Program (Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing). He holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Biology from King’s College London and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge and Northwestern University. His research focuses on understanding vascular responses to injury and thrombosis, particularly in inflammatory diseases like acute respiratory distress syndrome. Dr. Evans investigates thrombus formation/resolution, endothelial repair mechanisms, and the role of hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) in sepsis-induced lung injury.
