Coleen Wilson

Coleen Wilson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the UCLA School of Nursing and serves as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at UCLA West Valley Medical Center. With over 20 years of experience at UCLA Health, she has demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing and leadership, including roles as Interim CNO at UCLA West Valley and Senior Director of Adult In-Patient Nursing at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. Her work focuses on innovative nursing governance structures, human-centered leadership frameworks, and fostering excellence in patient care through mentorship and professional development.

Dr. Wilson holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and has contributed to UCLA Health's stroke certification initiatives and the development of nursing leadership programs. Her leadership emphasizes empowering nurse decision-making and creating supportive clinical environments.

Her research and professional interests include advancing healthcare management practices, improving patient outcomes through evidence-based nursing strategies, and shaping the future of nursing education and practice.
