معرفی
Coen Govers is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Immunology at Wageningen University. His research focuses on immunology, microbiology, and the impact of dietary components on immune responses and gut health. Key interests include trained immunity mechanisms, macrophage biology, and the role of dietary fibers like arabinoxylans and β-glucans in modulating immune functions.
He collaborates on projects addressing poultry immune protection, intestinal immunity modeling, and gut health in dogs. Supervised PhD topics include plasma proteins for canine enteropathies and 3D organ models for immune studies. Recent work explores LPS tolerance in murine macrophages, IgG binding to pathogens, and particle size effects of arabinoxylans on trained immunity.
Govers contributes to peer-reviewed journals and public discussions on immune health and future proteins. His datasets include studies on Lactobacillus effects on intestinal barriers and onion exposure impacts on gene expression in Caco-2 cells.
