Codrin Nedita is a Lecturer in economics at the University of Washington Bothell School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2010) and a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Law from ASE Bucharest, Romania (1997).
His research interests include international economics, economic development, innovation, technological change, and health economics, with a focus on the impact of stronger intellectual property rights (IPRs) on the productivity of Indian pharmaceutical firms. He has contributed to working papers such as
- "IPRs, Innovation, Imitation and Offshoring: The Case of the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry"
- "Intellectual Property Rights Regimes and the Choice of R&D Outsourcing"
- "The Transitional Dynamics of Innovation and Imitation Following the Imposition of Stronger Intellectual Property Rights in Developing Countries"

Scientific awards include the 2009 Graduate Student Teaching Award in Economics for an Outstanding Instructor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC.
Dr. Nedita has extensive teaching experience, including Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, International Economics, Health Economics, and Environmental Economics. He previously served as Assistant Professor (2010–2015) and Associate Professor (2015–2016) at Eureka College, where he developed a minor and individualized major in economics.
He has participated in numerous university service roles, including co-organizer of the 36th Mary Newson Lecture on International Affairs and representation on committees such as the Institutional Review Board, Strategic Development Committee, and Pi Gamma Mu National Honor Society.
