Clotilde Philippe is a Researcher at the OMC Team (Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes, ISCR) under CNRS since 2025. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from ENSCR/ISCR (2021), focusing on fluorescent materials and photophysical properties. Previously, she worked as Project Leader in R&D at Nuvisan (2021–2024). Her research interests span photophysics, chiroptics, organic chemistry, and materials science, particularly in tetracyanobutadienes and near-infrared luminescence applications. She leads the photophysics and chiroptic platform at ISCR, utilizing advanced spectroscopic techniques like FTIR-ATR and CPL.
Education:
- PhD in Chemistry (2018–2021), ENSCR/ISCR
- Master's in Chemistry of Biomolecules (2017–2018), Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier
- Engineering Degree in Chemistry (2015–2018), Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques et Technologiques
Research focuses on synthesizing novel fluorescent compounds and understanding their optical properties for biophysical and materials applications. Her work bridges organic synthesis with photophysical analysis, targeting advanced materials for sensing and biomedical use. Recent publications highlight advancements in near-IR dyes, multipolar chromophores, and functionalized aromatic scaffolds.
