Clive Allanso is a Ph.D researcher at the University of Brighton, affiliated with the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing and the Tourism, Inclusion, Events and Society Research Excellence Group. He holds an MSc in Tourism & International Development from the University of Brighton (2018).

His research focuses on innovative pathways for contemporary West African arts and community-based tourism development, emphasizing social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical value chains. He explores the role of art champions in driving productivity for creative sector SMEs (galleries, museums, studios) across Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, and Mali.
Recent publications analyze arts-tourism integration and indigenous cultural practices in West Africa. He has contributed to the Routledge Handbook of Tourism and Indigenous Peoples (2024) and the Handbook of Niche Tourism (2022).
As a Non Executive Director since 2023, he contributes to governance in arts and tourism sectors. His work integrates disciplines like Tourism Studies, Contemporary Art, and Regional Development.
