Clifton Stewart is an Assistant Professor in Media Production at Coventry University, with extensive experience in screenwriting, script editing, and film production. He has worked as a freelance programme producer, project manager, and lecturer while maintaining active roles in curating international art exhibitions and film festivals. His curatorial work includes co-founding the Art and Algorithms digital arts festival in Florida and organizing events in the UK, USA, and Europe.
Stewart holds a Pg.Cert. in Higher Education Professional Practice, an M.A. in Screenwriting and Research from The London Institute, and a B.A. in Fine Art (Film Making) from Leicester Polytechnic. His creative outputs span award-winning short films like Moth (2006), TV projects including Doctors (BBC), and curatorial exhibitions such as Conflict and Loss (2009-2010).
His research interests focus on intersections between narrative storytelling, digital media, and curatorial practices. Recent professional activities include exhibiting at the Robert Capa Center in Budapest (2017), presenting at the Avanca Film Festival (2017), and curating festivals like Babylon Shorts (2019) and Deeping Shorts (2020).
