Clay Kiningham

Clay Kiningham is a Lecturer in the School of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology, part of the College of Design. He holds a B.Arch and M.Arch from Georgia Tech, where he won the Portman Prize Competition and the M.Arch Top Designer award. His research focuses on computational design, mixed reality fabrication, and affordable architecture. As an illustrator, he specializes in documenting historic architectural landmarks, collaborating with Author Gene Kansas to preserve the history of Atlanta's Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Internationally, he contributed to Emory University's archaeological projects in Samothrace, Greece, producing detailed drawings for publication.

Professionally, Kiningham is a registered architect in Georgia and NCARB-certified. He works as an Associate at BLDGS Architects, specializing in ground-up and adaptive reuse commercial projects. His architectural expertise includes hospitality, multifamily housing, education, retail, office, and stadium design. He integrates computational design tools to streamline architectural documentation during the design process.
