Clay Jackson-Litteken is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. from UAMS and completed postdoctoral training at Washington University School of Medicine. His research focuses on Acinetobacter pathogenesis, particularly mechanisms of infection and antibiotic resistance.
Research interests include:
- Molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis
- Antibiotic resistance in Gram-negative bacteria
- Host-pathogen interactions in respiratory and urinary tract infections
Dr. Jackson-Litteken currently advises Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., and M.S. students in microbial pathogenesis research.
