Claudius Lazzeroni

Prof. Claudius Lazzeroni is a Professor of Interface Design at Folkwang Universität der Künste (Faculty 4), specializing in generative design principles and interactive media systems. His work bridges art, technology, and human perception, focusing on dramaturgical structures in non-linear media environments. He leads the Electromechanical Workshop, exploring spatial interactions through sensors, sound, light, and motion.

Biographically, Lazzeroni trained as a photographer and media designer, later serving as Creative Director at Pixelpark. He founded the interdisciplinary studio 'im stall' and developed the 'solograph' – self-controlled drawing machines. His research emphasizes perceptual frameworks in technologically advanced environments, reflected in publications like generative design (2009) and generative design P5.js (2018).

He was honored with the 2019 Landeslehrpreis NRW for outstanding university teaching. His interdisciplinary approach integrates art, engineering, and education, fostering innovation across creative disciplines.
