Claudia Wiesner is Professor of Political Science at Fulda University of Applied Sciences and Adjunct Professor at Jyväskylä University (Finland). She serves as Vice Dean for Research and International Affairs and holds the Jean Monnet Chair. Her work focuses on Europe in the World, comparative democracy studies, and conceptual politics of European integration.

Research Interests center on political legitimization, identity formation, and governance structures within the European Union.
