Prof. Dr. Claudia Landwehr is a Professor of Political Theory and Public Policy at the Institute of Political Science, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her research focuses on democratic theory, political representation, institutional design, and citizen expertise. She leads research projects such as 'False consensus assumptions in politics' and 'Experience-based knowledge in democratic governance.' Her work examines procedural preferences, elite and citizen conceptions of democracy, and the interplay between technocracy and populism.
