Claudia Favero

Claudia Favero is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Birmingham's School of Chemical Engineering, specializing in learning design with a focus on online education, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and gender studies. She holds an EdD from the Open University (2014), MAODE (2009), MSc in International Relations (LSE, 1999), and a Bachelor's in Political Science (University of Turin, 1997). She was awarded Fellowship of AdvanceHE (FHEA) in 2022.

Her research interests span accessibility in education, digital learning journeys, and the integration of technology with human-centered pedagogy. She also explores decolonization in engineering curricula and student belonging. Recent work includes studies on pre-lab video demonstrations in chemical engineering education and the role of face-to-face interactions in hybrid learning environments.
