Claudia A. Mitchell is a Distinguished James McGill Professor at McGill University's Faculty of Education and Honorary Professor at South Africa's University of KwaZulu-Natal. She leads the Institute for Human Development and Well-being and directs the Participatory Cultures Lab, funded by the Canadian Foundation for Innovation. Her work focuses on participatory visual methods addressing gender equality, gender-based violence, and global social issues in Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.
